Despite fear of corona effect, the placements now being handed out at IIT Bhubaneswar are showing a rising trend this year.
So far, 32 per cent students have been placed in a matter of a few days. The placement season 2020-21 witnessed 88 offers from reputed companies ranging from Code Nation Innovation Labs, Analog Devices, Amazon, Dream 11, Adloid, Rupeek, JLR, Caterpillar, Persistent, Mathworks, Optum (UHG), Oil India Limited etc.
Director Prof RV Raja Kumar said the IIT Bhubaneswar had seen a surge in placements this year with the offers received already surpassing last year’s as on date. Offers as high as Rs 45 lakh per annum CTC have already been made to seven BTech students of Electrical Sciences. Majority of the recruiters are IT and core industries and are wide ranging indicating a growing trend this year.” The final year students are all geared up with full enthusiasm for the ongoing placements via online mode.
