The General Body of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), Odisha Regional Branch held its Annual General Body Meeting here on September 19, Bhubaneswar. Chairman Sarat Chandra Misra, former DG Police, welcomed the members and gave a brief account of the major activities of last two years. It was followed by a presentation of the Annual Report by the Secretary Ashok Mohapatra.
Treasurer BP Tripathy presented the audited accounts of income and expenditure of the year 2020-21. Members’ Directory, Reprinted Book on Socialism by Paul Sweezy and IIPA’s own publication book “Education: Challenges and Prospects” were released by the Chairman. The election for the term 2021-23 was held after the business session. Dr Arun Kumar Rath, former Union Secretary Education, was elected as Chairman. Dr Chitra Kanungo and Pratip Kumar Mishra were elected as Vice-Chairperson/ Vice-Chairman. Ashok Mohapatra, former Additional Commissioner, Govt. of Odisha, was elected as Secretary, BP Tripathy as Treasurer, Prof Digambar Shatapathy, Bhagirathi Behera, Gokul Mishra, PK. Das and Prof Gitanjali were elected as Executive Committee Members. New Chairman Rath in his thanksgiving speech called upon members for raising the branch to a higher orbit of excellence and make it an eminent national institution.
