The Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) has approved a proposal of its members from Cuttack to have a local branch in the city.
The Cuttack branch will be the first local unit of the prestigious organisation in the State. A regional branch of the IIPA is functioning from Bhubaneswar.
“We have started undertaking activities of the city branch,” said IIPA local branch secretary Dr Sushant Kumar Kar. The first meeting of the members of the branch was held here earlier this month and it was decided to launch a massive membership drive, Kar said.
He further informed that there are about 800 life members of the IIPA in the undivided Cuttack district.
