The Institute of Health Sciences (IHS), presently functioning at Bhubaneswar as a referral hospital of the State Government for all kinds of communicable diseases, has opened its branch in Sambalpur. local MlA Dr Raseswari Panigrahi inaugurated the unit in the city centre mall here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, she said, “The people of this region and particularly those with hearing impaired can get the benefit of the unit.”
Institute director Prof Satya Mahapatra appealed for public awareness to prevent disability among the affected people and particularly the senior citizens. He appealed people to get their hearing capability evaluated periodically. He also assured treatment for the poor people at affordable price or free of cost.
