The IFFCO Paradip and the TRB Iron Mines of the JSPl got the Kalinga Safety Award 2016 - Gold” for outstanding achievements for best practices in health, safety and environment.
Governor Dr SC Jamir gave away the award to the respective company officials at a programme here organised by the the Odisha Safety Conclave 2017 on Saturday. labour and ESI Principal Secretary Anu Garg and South African High Commissioner France K Morule were present.
IFFCO unit head Ashis Kumar Panda and JSPl associate vice-president and unit head Pramod Kumar Patra received the awards for their respective companies.
Earlier, the JSPl had also won 1st prize during 54th Annual Mines Safety Week Celebration 2016 under the aegis of Directorate General of Mines Safety.
