The Bhubaneswar Chapter of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has three times bagged the National Best Chapter Award for the years 2013, 2014 & 2016.
The chairman, vice-chairman and secretary of the chapter addressed a meeting recently held at its office at IRC Village here to celebrate the chapter’s achievements.
A large number of members and students of the chapter attended the celebration.
The chapter, which was established on September 12, 1981 with only a handful of members, now has about 240 members and 1,400 students in Bhubaneswar and more than 300 members and about 3,000 students across Odisha. It has three examination centres in the State, one at Bhubaneswar and the others at Sambalpur and Rourkela. The chapter, which has one study centre at Rourkela, has a plan to open additional study centres in the State for the benefit of the students pursuing the Company Secretary course.
