The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Bhubaneswar branch conducted a seminar on Bank Audit-2016 here last week.
Allahabad Bank Executive Director NK Sahoo inaugurated the seminar in the presence of chartered accountants Dr Bijay Sahoo, Ranjeet Agarwal, Amit Kumar Agarwalla and Chiranjeebi Jena.
The Allahabad Bank ED emphasised on the importance of conducting audit in CBS Environment keeping the regulatory perspective in mind, importance of lFAR compliance, benchmarking standards in audit and identifying critical areas in reporting.
CA Bijay Sahoo stressed on the fact that it is the auditor who plays a major role in detecting fraud. In the technical session, CA Sanjay Gupta from New Delhi and CA Niranjan Joshi from Mumbai discussed on ‘Concerning audit under the computerised environment’. About 250 members and students were present.
