The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), Bhubaneswar Chapter in association with the Commissionerate of Income Tax, Bhubaneswar Zone and Tax Research Department of ICAI organised a seminar on “Amendment on Direct Tax, TDS, Filing of Return and E-Assessment” here recently.
Bhubaneswar Zone Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS) Asit Kumar Mohapatra, ICAI RCs and Chapters Coordination and CAT Committee Council Member and Chairman H Padmanabhan, Indirect Taxation Committee Council Member and Chairman Niranjan Mishra, tax consultant Niranjan Swain and Income Tax Officer (TDS) Suman Sundar Sahoo attended as guests.
Mohapatra inaugurating the event praised the various initiatives taken by the chapter and tax research department. Resource person Suman Sundar Sahoo spoke on amendments in direct tax, TDS and filing of returns and Niranjan Swain spoke on E-Assessment.
Among others, ICAI Bhubaneswar Chapter Chairman Saktidhar Singh and Secretary Himoj Mishra were present.
