The State Government on Friday made a reshuffle in the IAS cadres by appointing Dr Noonsavath Thirumala Naik as the new Labour Commissioner.
Dr Naik, Director of Fisheries, replaced Niranjan Sahu, who was appointed as the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Northern Division), Sambalpur. Sahu was also promoted to the grade of super time scale in IAS.
IG of Registrations, Cuttack, Prasanta Kumar Senapati was elevated to the grade of super time scale in IAS with effect from January 1, 2020 and was appointed as Director of OBC, ST & SC Development and M&BCW Department.
Also as per a notification by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, Health & Family Welfare Additional Secretary Susanta Mohapatra was appointed as the Director of Estates & Ex-Officio Additional Secretary of GA & PG Department with promotion that would come into effect from Jan 1. V Jaya Kumar of the GA & PG Department was appointed as Director of Ayush.
The post of Ayush Director was declared equivalent in the status and responsibility to that of Joint Secretary in the IAS cadre.
Mayurbhanj Additional District Magistrate Aboli Sunil Naravane was appointed as the Additional District Magistrate, Rourkela. She would remain in additional charge of Vice-Chairman of the Rourkela Development Authority.
