The IAS Gurukul, an institute of national repute in imparting education, coaching and guidance to civil services aspirants, opened its branch at Baripada on Sunday. The branch inauguration ceremony was held here in the MPC (Autonomous) College premises.
A workshop was organised on the occasion. More than 200 IAS/OAS aspirants took part and enrolled themselves in the institute to avail low-cost coaching facility.
While IAS Gurukul chief Suraj Kumar Mishra presided over the programme, MPC College Principal Prof Dr Kruttivas Sahu was the chief guest. Mishra, in his speech, revealed that at least 400 IAS Gurukul products have succeeded so far in qualifying in the Civil Services Main Exams and felt that it is a matter of pleasure and pride for the institute. Dr Sahu hoped that the institute is likely to help the district's IAS aspirants, belonging to poor and backward sections, who are unable to afford costly IAS coaching in the distant cities.
IAS Gurukul already has its branches in Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur and Brahmapur.
