To provide detail information on the Nabakalebar Festival of lord Jagannath, the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department has decided to release a book containing rare photographs and specials editions of its two monthly journals, namely the Utkal Prasang and Orissa Review.
At a preparatory meeting held under the chairmanship of department Director Ranjit Mohanty here on Thursday, the authorities concerned discussed about various steps to be taken for publication of the special editions. It was decided to collect writings and photographs related to the Nabakalebar festival in past years and include them in the special editions this year.
A proposal for the formation of a committee to supervise all tasks of the department for the festival was approved in the meeting. Besides, it was also decided to take help from various stakeholders, including the Shree Mandir temple administration, Doordarshan Director, State Accountant General for the special publications purpose.All these tasks will be monitored under the direct supervision of I&PR Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Secretary Madhusudan Padhi.
