The Rajya Swadhinata Sangramio Sanyukta Uttaradhikari Sangathan (The State Freedom Fighters and United Descendants’ Organisation) has urged the State Government to provide identity cards and all Government support to successors of freedom-fighters soon.
A meeting held under chairmanship of organisation president Kali Prasad Mishra passed a unanimous resolution in this regard. It was decided a team would meet the Finance Minister first and then the Chief Minister and request them to provide identity cards and Government facilities to descendants of freedom fighters in lines with Maharashtra, Assam, Haryana and Uttarakhand Governments. It was also decided that the team would meet Union Ministers of Odisha, if required.
Noted freedom fighter Bhabani Charan Patnaik graced as guest. Among others, national vice-president Nukula Das, State working president Bimal Das and representatives from different districts were present.
