The Kendrapada Sadar police on Wednesday arrested three youths, including the youngest son of hardcore ruffian Hyder for their alleged involvement in several cases, said Sadar police station IIC Padarbinda Tripathy.
According to Tripathy, police on Wednesday arrested 23-year- old Sk Ajharuddin alias Ajju, the youngest son of Hyder, of Ranapada village and his couple of associates, including Sk Hussain (32) of Ranapada and Pipu (24) alias Tehesan Khan, of Jaipura village.
The trio arrested, including gangster Hyder's son Ajju, were involved in hurling bomb to the Barei chowk -based cement and iron rod shop of one Gurucharan Sahu on March 2 night.
According to police sources, Hyder's son Ajju earlier allegedly demanded an extortion amount of `10 lakh from Gurucharan Sahu, proprietor of Barei Chowk -based cement and iron rod shop. But when Sahu did not pay any heed, the trio allegedly hurled bombs at Sahu's shop. later, they fled the spot.
Sahu lodged an FIR at Sadar police station.
It may be noted here that Sadar police earlier arrested Sankar Sethy and Babu Das for their involvement in the case. The trio was also involved in a dacoity case under Kendrapada Sadar police station on February 17 night near Duhuria chowk.
They were on Wednesday produced before a local court which remanded them in jail custody after rejecting their bail petitions.
