Wanted criminal Mohammad Nasiruddin, an associate of Kendrapada-based notorious gangster Sheikh Hyder was arrested from the city on Thursday.
Nasiruddin, who was earlier, arrested and awarded life imprisonment in the sensational Sheikh Chuna murder case of 2005, was absconding after his release on parole in 2014.
Notably, Sheikh Chuna (40), brother of dreaded gangster Sheikh Suleiman, was gunned down near the Stewart School here on May 31, 2005.
Chuna’s brother Suleiman had been a sworn enemy of Hyder, who is presently
cooling his heels in the Jharpada Special Jail.
Later, Hyder and others involved in the murder were nabbed from Nagpur by cell-phone tracking by police.
