nSenior BJD leader and social activist Jitendra Kumar Singh and others on Sunday informed that they would stage an indefinite hunger strike here from December 3 in protest against massive irregularities in the development works in the block.
Among others, Panchayat Samiti members Bishnupriya Nayak, Basant Kumar Pradhan, Sasmita Sahoo and Pradeep Jena, Golapakhari Sarpanch Laxmidhar Samantray, former Sarpanch Kailash Chandra Routray, Aparti Pradhan, Surjyamani Jena and former Samiti Member Banamali Pradhan have held the block administration responsible for the irregularities.
They alleged that there have been irregularities in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, distribution of old-age pension, sanitation programme and MGNREGA works. They have aleady sent complaints to the Chief Minister, Panchayati Raj Minister, 5T Secretary and other concerned officers.
