Hundreds of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) workers of Mayurbhanj district led by Sanjib Dey, Debabrata Bhanjbabu, Muna Mishra, Gopinath Behera, Milu Ghadei, Mikund Bindhani, Raja Patra and Suru Singh joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) here on Monday.
Being inspired by BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and senior BJD leader Arun Sahu, they chose to join the BJD, these leaders said.
The new entrants into the BJD fold were welcomed here at a colurful ceremony by BJD youth wing North Odisha president Subramaniam Mohanty and BJD youth wing Mayurbhanj district president Jitendra Mohanty, among others. BJD youth leaders Biranchi Mohapatra and Kapil Khandelwal and many other party men were present on the occasion.
