The NSS wing of the Bapujee HS School in Dhenkanal district in collaboration with the Kalinga Eye Hospital organised a free eye camp in the college premises on November 25.
Hundreds of people from five nearby panchayats underwent check-ups while as many as 46 went to the hospital for surgery. The camp was inaugurated by Garhpalasuni sarpanch Pradip Kumar Samal.
The team of Kaling Eye Hospital included Dr Rasananda Gadanayak, technician Kamakhya Sahu, Puspanjali Pradhan, and Chintamani Bhuinya. College principal Bhagaban Sasmal, NSS POs Kailash Chandra Sahani and Paramanda Biswal, Gangadhanr Das, Gangadhar Baitharu, Sarala Panda, Subash Chandra Parida, Prafulla Samal, Brahmananda Seth and Puspalata Patra were present.
