like earlier days of the festival, a large number of devotees also witnessed the Ghata Parikrama (soul procession) of Maa Bhudhi Thakurani here on Wednesday.
Boita Ratha at Chandrana Street and Maa Jwala Rath at Deshi Behera Street were launched on the day. The Ghata of the deity moved through six streets, Mahuri Rajabati, Bada Bazaar, Patra Street, Jemi Street, Elubari Street, Chandrama Street and Deshi Behera Street, and returned to the temporary Mandap. A huge crowd gathered to witness the procession.
While the Thakurani Yatra reached 19th day on Thursday and to be held for 11 more days, the number of devotees is increasing by the day. Besides, Manasikadharies are also visiting the temporary Mandap to offer prayers each day.
Cultural programmes too attract more people each day. While seven Rathas have been opened, about 40 Kalakunjas are scheduled to be released in coming days.
