HSC supplementary results likely by mid-July

After the end of the High School Certificate (HSC) Supplementary Examination-2014 on Monday, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Tuesday announced that the answer sheets would be evaluated at 17 centres from Thursday next.

“More than 5,000 teachers will be engaged to evaluate the answer sheets,” informed BSE President DP Nanda here.

A little over 22,000 students in both Regular and Ex-Regular streams wrote the examinations in about 143 examination centres across the State, which began on June 17. At least 341 students were booked under ‘malpractice’ for adopting unfair means during the examination, BSE sources said, adding that the results would be out by mid-July.

It is hoped that if the supplementary results are out by mid-July then the successful students would get a chance to pursue higher education from the current academic year without losing a precious year.
