The Commissionerate police, who are investigating into the arrested Uzbekistan woman’s case, have managed to trace the owner of the house under the Info City police station where allegedly a high-profile sex racket was being run.

The house owner of Plot-28 in Patia’s Maruti Villa is a Kolkata-based businessman, who also has watch showroom at Patia. He has been asked to appear before the police within two days for questioning.

He had given the house on rent to a person, whose identity has not been disclosed by the police.

Sources said the businessman has assured the police to come to the city soon. However, if he fails to give satisfactory reasons, the house would be declared a ‘brothel’.

Earlier, the police had arrested the caretaker of the house, from whose mobile cops had recovered a number of pictures of girls along with the money they charged from their clients.

The police have ascertained that the people involved in the racket do not have any links with notorious pimp Sunil Meher and used to operate their own network.

Notably, the Uzbek woman was arrested by the Kharvel Nagar police for misbehaving with and attacking police personnel in an inebriated state on July 23. While she is an Uzbekistan national, an Aadhaar card with a Delhi address was found from her possession which has put her identity in suspicion.
