Farmer leader Debashisha Hota has claimed that he has the support of the STs, SCs and Dalits in Kamakhyanagar area in Dhenkanal district as he has fought for their cause successfully despite having faced much hardship and pain.
Hence, the underprivileged sections want him to be a candidate for the Kamakhyanagar Assembly seat from the BJP. In a release, Hota said the Bhuban Sabar Samaj supported his candidature at a meeting at Majhipal of Dhalapada gram panchayat under Bhuban Block recently. The village heads were of the opinion that since Hota took up several causes of the poor tribals and Dalits and took up the issues with the Central Government, besides the NHRC, he must get all 20,000 votes of the community.
