An irate mob, including kin of an accident victim, ransacked Atharabanki Government hospital at Paradip soon after the victim died there on Monday night.
The mob blamed the hospital authority alleging negligence in treatment which led to the death of the victim. later, police rushed to the spot and controlled the mob.
Reports said that three bike riders identified as Bikram Muduli, Jayanta Swain and Saroj Behera, sustained injuries after their bike met with an accident near Paradip Terminal Square.
They were immediately shifted to the Biju Memorial Government hospital at Atharabanki for treatment, but Bikram was declared brought dead and other two were admitted for treatment. Soon after Bikram’s death reached his near and dear, a few locals besides his kin started scolding the attending doctor and medical staff and ransacked the hospital.
