The Justice AS Naidu Commission, which probed the illegal hooch tragedy that claimed 43 lives in Cuttack and Khurda districts in February last year, submitted its 512-page final report to the State Government on Saturday.
Commission Secretary Kasinath Panigrahi submitted the report to the Excise Commissioner.
The Government was forced to order for a judicial inquiry following the death of at least 43 people after consuming spurious liquor in the two districts while many more fell ill. Retired High Court Judge Naidu was entrusted with the investigation in July 2012.
The tragedy had rocked the State, following which the then Excise Minister AU Singh Deo resigned from the Cabinet.
