The Rajya Gruharakhi Mahasangha on Wednesday said it would soon move the Orissa High Court to seek permission for holding democratic demonstrations and resort to a Jail Bharo agitation during the coming Assembly session to press for its various demands.
Mahasangha president Upendra Mohapatra said this at a Press Conference held here. “The Commissionerate police is not allowing us to hold demonstrations for placing our demands. Resultantly, the 62 retrenched Home Guards have not been able to put their demands before the Government democratically. We would move the High Court in protest against this and resort to a Jail Bhoro Andolon during the coming Assembly Session demanding fulfillment of our seven demands, including reappointment of the expelled Home Guards,” said Mohapatra.
He too informed that Malati Rout, Sagarika Sarakaar and Diptimayee Rout and many others have been sitting on a fast agitation in front of the State Assembly since the last Assembly session.
