HMS slams BJP for 'anti-labour' policies

Taking pot shots at the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre, Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS) State unit president Rajendra Prasad Singh on Wednesday said the BJP Government takes all decisions in favour of big corporate houses neglecting the interests of poor people in the country.

Terming the Government as anti-labour and anti-people, Singh said decisions like amendments in the labour law, disinvestment of central entities and price hike have been taken during the regime of the BJP Government.

“Disinvestment in defence, insurance, railway and other units would weaken the economy of the country. Besides, the farmers are not secured in the new land policy,” said Singh at a Press meet.

In order to protect the interest of labour community and common people, the trade unions have decided to stage nation-wide demonstration on September 2.  Prior to this, several meetings and demonstrations would be held across the country, warned Singh. Among others, Arun Swain, Sambhunath Das and Narahari Mahalik were present.
