The Bargaon police on Thursday arrested and court-forwarded Headmaster Tikeswar Naik (53) of a Government-run Primary school under the Bargaon police station in Sundargarh district for allegedly sexually exploiting students of the school.
Naik has been working as the Headmaster of the Geleibahal Primary School since 2005. On Tuesday, a Class-II tribal girl student’s father lodged an FIR alleging that Naik had been mentally and sexually torturing his daughter for the last two years. He further alleged that Naik used to force both boy and girl students to have sex with him and also threatens them of dire consequences if they reveal anything to anyone.
Notably, Bargaon Block Education Officer Harekrushna Purohit suspended accused Naik from his post as per the direction of DEO Dhruba Charan Behera. Investigation was on, said Rajgangpur SDPO SK Panigrahi.
