A Headmistress of an Upper Primary School of Sundargarh district was suspended allegedly for conspiring to siphon off the midday meal (MDM) ration from her school by regularly fudging figure of students attendance.
Suspecting about the figure of attendance, the Block Education Officer on Friday conducted a surprise check and found the irregularity, following which she was suspended. One day salary of four other teachers of the school was also directed to be stripped, for abetting.
