A woman of Kharida in Hijili in Ganjam district, Rupal, alleging betrayal by her husband has knocked at the doors of the Chief Minister and Director General of Police for justice.

Though she had lodged cases against her husband with the police, when they did not take any action against her husband, she held a Press conference here on Monday, where she narrated her side of the story and demanded arrest of her husband.

Rupal said her family has been living in Mumbai for three years. She had married one Rabindra Kumar Barada, who was known to her family members. The marriage ceremony was held at a Ram Mandir in Mumbai in July 2016, following which they lived together for eight months. later, Rabindra told her that his mother was sick and went home to Koraput.

After some time he said that his family members are not ready to accept her as their daughter-in-law and did not return back to Mumbai. Having no other option her family members approached the Hinjili police, who did not accept the complaint. They also filed a case with the Malad police, who sent a notice to Rabindra but he was found in that address, she said.

Rupal alleged that as Rabindra is a BJD youth leader and has connection with many senior BJD leaders the police are not taking any action against him. She further said in the meantime Rabindra has married another girl named Swagatika. She demanded stringent action action against Rabindra for duping her.
