Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Prasad Harichandan with an aim to appease the voters before the Panchayat elections and also to rejuvenate party workers attended a meeting on Wednesday in Keseibahal under Bamara block where thousands of Congress people were present.
“The aim of today’s meeting was to the inform people as to the failures of the Governments both at Centre and at State,” said Harichandan to the party workers, adding, “If public clearly understands the hypocrisy of both Naveen and Modi, then the impact will be miraculous. At the same time, it will prove beneficial for Congress.”
Former Chief Minister Hemananda Biswal who was present also made similar approach to the Congress people. He appealed them to bring the message of the State president to the grassroots workers. Most senior leaders of the district, including former MlAs, block presidents and district president Sureswar Mishra were present. However, Jharsuguda MlA Naba Das skipped the meeting creating flutter among the party workers.
