While Koraput district recorded this year’s highest rainfall at 1,103 mm so far till Monday evening, the local Meteorological Centre here predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall across coastal and south Odisha and extremely heavy rainfall in parts of interior districts in next 72 hours.
Apart from Koraput, a number of south and coastal Odisha districts also witnessed heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours (till 5.30 pm on Monday).
While Bhawanipatna recorded 206 mm rainfall, it was followed by Balangir (108 mm), Puri (103.8mm), Sonepur (66.6mm), Malkangiri (65.2mm), Baripada (29mm), Daringbadi (28 mm), Hirakud (20.1mm), Sambalpur (20mm), Gopalpur (12.9mm), Bhubaneswar (12.9mm) and Chandbali (12.8mm). There PNS
