Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena on Wednesday visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar for the first time.
The Minister held discussions with AIIMS Director Dr Gitanjali Batmanabane and the Head of Departments (HODs) and took stock of the medical services, faculties, paramedical staff and future course of action of the institution.
He also assured all support from the State Government for expansion of the AIIMS.
Dr Batmanabane shared the details about the operation theatre (OT), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), faculties, paramedical staff, nurses and existing and vacant posts.
She said all efforts have been made to provide best healthcare services to the patients, the number of which is increasing day by day.
