Jharsuguda MLA and State Health Minister Naba Kisore Das met Union Railway Minister Aswini Vaishnaw and discussed various rail projects of Jharsuguda on Thursday.
Minister Das demanded to give world level status to Jharsuguda station in the presence of Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari. With this, he requested for expediting the Chowkipara rail over bridge, construction of a flyover for goods transport, setting up railway hospital in Jharsuguda township, undertaking development work of railway colony, renovation of old bus stand and construction of a road from Bus stand to railway station either by railway itself or by transferring land to the municipality for the same. Besides, Das presented different proposals before the Railway Minister like construction of ROB or RUB between Arda GP and Kirmira, construction of Dhutura ROB, ROB at Bagdihi and Ghanashyam Hemalata Bidyamandir road, etc He also requested the Minister to come to Jharsuguda for review of these proposals while the Railway Minister assured to take steps shortly in the matter.
