The Orissa High Court and its office would function on all working Saturdays. As per a notification issued by the Registrar (Judicial) of the High Court on Monday, the court would, however, not function on August 28 (Saturday). Though August 28 was earlier declared as a working day for the High Court, in view of the restrictions imposed by the State Government in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri till the morning of September 1, the court would remain off on that day. However, the court office would function on August 28. To compensate for August 28 off day, the High Court declared October 30 (Saturday) as a working day.
Earlier, the High Court had declared to shut the court and its office on all Saturdays on account of the Covid restrictions imposed by the State Government.
