While the alleged irregularities in the counting of votes in the Ghasipura Assembly constituency in Keonjhar district during the last elections are under adjudication in the Odisha High Court, the district administration on Saturday sealed the EVM strongroom at Ghasipura following a court order.
It may be mentioned that the High Court had issued a show-cause notice in the matter to Ghasipura BJD MlA and Cabinet Minister Badi Narayan Patra. The members of the opposite parties including BJP candidate Satyabrata Panda, Independent candidate Rama Chandra Behera and AAP candidate Pramod Kumar Sahu were also sent notices.The court will have a hearing in the case on August 14.
