Justice KR Mahapatra of the Orissa High Court inaugurated a Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court at Boden of Nuapada district on Saturday in the presence of District Judge Ashim Kumar Dalabehera, District Vigilance Judge AK Samal, District Court Registrar Raghunandan Dash and lawyers of the area.
A meeting was held after the inauguration. "Opening of this court here will help the poor people of this area, I will request the friends of the Bar here to provide support to the poor people of this area and be sensitive towards their needs so that they get justice," said Justice Mahapatra. District Judge Dalabehera said that this court was a longstanding due for Boden block.
District Vigilance Judge Samal, who was the officer on duty to declare the notification of the High Court, read out the notification and declared about the opening of the court.
Other officials present on the occasion were Nuapada ASP Sunil Acharya, Khariar SDPO Dehuri and other police officials. Tree saplings were planted in the court precincts by the judges on this occasion. Senior members of the Khariar Bar like Sarada Panda, Chittaranjan Singh Deo, Bhabesh Panigrahi, Sibaprashad Meher and Sushanta Tandi were present. The meeting was presided over by advocate Hiralal Majhi of Boden.
