The Orissa High Court on Wednesday granted an interim relief to Paralakhemundi Congress MlA Kengam Surya Rao while adjudicating an anticipatory bail application filed by the MlA.
Apprehending arrest after his name appeared in an FIR pertaining to the sensational suicide of four siblings at Paralakhemundi of Gajapati district, the MlA had approached the High Court last week.
Seeking the case diary from the local police, Justice SK Mishra restrained the police from arresting the political leader in the instant case until further directions. The matter would come up for hearing on October 5.
