n The Orissa High Court on Monday deferred the hearing of bail application of arrested Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi to next week after asking the Crime Branch to submit the case diary (CD), informed Panigrahi’s counsel Pitambar Acharya. The MLA is now lodged in the Jharpada jail at Bhubaneswar.
Panigrahi, who was suspended from the BJD after his arrest on December 3 last year on the charges of impersonation, cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy, had approached the High Court seeking regular bail on December 11 after he was denied bail by two lower courts, including a Sessions Court.
