Chief Justice of Odisha High Court Adarsh Kumar Goel visited Koraput Circle Jail on Thursday and had discussions with jail superintendent Brahmananda Sahu on various problems of the jail and of the inmates.
Goel also held talks with top officials of the district administration and several judges on various issues at the circuit house here. Goel was earlier given a warm welcome by district Collector Yamani Sarangi and SP Abinash Kumar after he reached the circuit house at 11 am. HC Judge Satrughna Pujari, Deputy Inspector General of Police (prisons), Sambalpur, Niranjan Jena, Koraput District Judge (DJ) Prasanna Kumar Hota, Rayagada DJ Sarat Chandra Mishra, Malkangiri DJ Govind Chandra Panigrahi, Nabarangpur DJ KDR Dora and Inspector General of Police( SW range)Yaswant Singh Jathwa were present on the occasion.
