The Orissa High Court on Thursday directed the State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to take a decision within three months on the petition pending before it pertaining to the false affidavit filed by Ganjam district’s Polasara BJD MLA Srikant Sahu during the last elections.
Justice Biswanath Rath adjudicating an election petition in which it was alleged that the MLA had given false statements with regard to his educational qualifications, ordered the CEO to investigate into the allegations and take appropriate action on the pending petition within three months.
