The reason shown in favour of online JEE (Advance) examination from 2018 needs to be introspected from all angles.
Offline exam has its own merits. After the exam is over and on the basis of hard copy, there is a scope to review or analyse the questions. Through which a candidate can guess about his/her performance.
But on the contrary, in the online exam, once it is over candidate may remain in dark about question and as there is no evidence about performance, hence no scope to analyse the question paper. There is lack of transparency in the process of online examination.
There must be option for ‘online’ and ‘offline’ exam in JEE advance. It should not be one-sided mode of examination. When the Government of India’s slogan is “Swachh Bharat” there should be enough transparency in every system.
Stress on making examination ‘online’ is nothing but to hide the loopholes only and moreover, all students are not so skilled to handle ‘on-line’ examination within the time limit.
