The Malkangiri police on Sunday arrested a hardcore Maoist and seized explosives from his possession.
According to police, more than five murder cases and other criminal cases are pending against the accused rebel Trinath Golori of Gajalmandi village near Chitrakonda at various police stations in the district.
This was the second arrest of a hardcore ultra in a week.
Earlier on Monday police had arrested one Kandra Dalabehera, a wanted Maoist reportedly belonging to Sabyasachi Panda’s Odisha Maovadi Party (OMP) from Richaguda forest under Badagarh Police station in Ganjam district.
