Hahnemann statue disrespected in city

The Utkal Sammilani on Tuesday expressed deep concern that the statue of Samuel Hahnemann, father of homoeopathy, was thrown on the roadside in a disrespect way in the city.

“We had been garlanding the statue on his (Hahnemann’s) birthday on April 10 each year. We are astonished to see that the statue had been dumped on a roadside as the widening work was going there. This is sheer disrespect to a legendary,” lamented Utkal Sammillani Mancheswar Industrial Estate Branch president Dillip Dashsharma, Ashok Palatasingh, Sheetal Chandra Mohanty and Maheswar Mohanty in a statement.

Informing that they restored the statue and garlanded it, Dashshamar demanded that the statue be reinstalled with respect at an appropriate place at the earliest.
