IAS officer-turned-politician and newly-elected Bhubaneswar BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here on Tuesday.
Calling the meeting “a courtesy call”, Sarangi said, “It was a beautiful discussion (with Patnaik).” “I congratulated him on his election as the Chief Minister for a fifth time in succession. Besides, I assured him, as a Parliamentarian, that I will extend all kinds of support to the State Government for the development of Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha segment,” Sarangi told reporters.
Sarangi, who had earlier said she would make Bhubaneswar the number one Parliamentary constituency of the country, said, “Development has no political affiliation and we have to work together.”
