The data of the computers of City Hospital affected by the WannaCry ransomware recently has been recovered. The data of the Hospital Information System has been successfully recovered and restored in the files.
While two of the computers of the hospital have been replaced, the other computers would be replaced soon, informed ADMO sources. Now, the hospital is functioning normally. It might be mentioned here that two computers of the hospital were hit by the WannaCry ransomware virus and become defunct.
The Cyber Cell of the State Crime Branch which was entrusted to investigate the cyber attack, informed on how to prevent further cyber attacks. Accordingly, the hospital authorities have taken steps to ensure that the computers are made hack-proof.
