Governor Dr SC Jamir inaugurated a new Rotary Eye Hospital at Patia here on Friday.
Rotary District Governor AB Mohapatra was present while the immediate past District Governor Rabi Narayan Nanda spoke on the occasion. Trustee of the hospital Debasish Mishra presented a report on the functioning of the new hospital, which is equipped with most modern facilities.
The Governor felicitated nine Rotarians recognising their contributions to the cause of the Rotary International’s professed objective of social service and work in health and education sectors.
The felicitated persons were AN Das, Vinod Khaitan, Hiralal Yadav, Ratan Rao, Samarendra Parija, Pradip Das and Prasanna lenka.
The hospital is a joint venture between the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar and the Rotary Club of Singapore.
