Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal visited the Paradip Port on Saturday. PPT Chairman Rinkesh Roy, along with other senior officers of PPT, received the Governor. PPT CISF personnel gave him a guard of honour at the port’s Wet Basin.
Prof Lal visited the harbor, where the PPT Chairman explained him about the functioning of the port and briefed him about the ongoing and future expansion plans being undertaken for the port’s further development as per the programme of the Ministry of Shipping.
The Governor expressed his happiness on the excellent growth of the port and for retaining the second position throughput the current financial year in terms of increase in the quantity of cargo handled.
In the afternoon, he was given a warm sendoff at the PPT Officers’ Club.
