Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal has tested positive for Covid-19, official sources said on Monday.
Besides, Lal’s wife and four more of his family members have also contracted the virus, the sources informed.
All of them have been admitted to the SUM Covid Hospital here for treatment and their conditions were stated to be stable.
Those who came in contact with the Lal couple recently have been advised to undergo Covid-19 tests.Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has wished speedy recovery of the Governor and prayed for his good health. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan talked to the Governor and enquired about his health over phone. He wished speedy recovery of the Governor and all of his family members.
