: The Sahadevkhunta police on Friday began an investigation after registering a case of unnatural death after a body of a housekeeper of a private guesthouse was found hanging from a tree in the campus of the guesthouse in morning.
The deceased, identified as Ramgopal Dash of village Khirdmukhura under the Remuna police station, had been engaged as an employee of the guesthouse rented to a private company for about two years.
Staffs of the guesthouse maintained that Ramgopal might have committed suicide as he was under depression for quite some time due to the burden of hand loans he took from different people. But his family members alleged that he was murdered by occupants of the guesthouse as he was not pulling on well with them due to some reasons. The family members said he was strangulated to death and then his body was hanged to colour it as a case of suicide.
Police seized the body sent it for autopsy.
