A security guard died after falling into an unfilled ditch in Jagannath area of the MCl on Monday morning. He was identified as Susant Behera of Madanpur village.
As per sources, generally after coal is excavated, the ditch is leveled with sand or soil. But in the area, the burrow was not filled. So while doing his duty, the security guard fell into the ditch.
The family demanded compensation keeping the body on Dera Chhak. It created law and order situation for some time but Talcher police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
