The State Government on Thursday announced that the high schools, which have met the eligibility criteria by March 31, 2013 would get grant-in-aid.
Replying to a question by BJD member Prafulla Chandra Ghadai in the State Assembly during the Question Hour, Minister for School and Mass Education Rabi Narayan Nanda said the verification process for the purpose is on.
With about a thousand or so schools left to be verified, the process would be completed within a month or two, he said. Nanda further informed that computers would be provided to all schools in the State to enhance the computer skills of students. In the first phase, computers would be provided to 4,000 schools, the Minister said.
